The Elite Invitational will bring 93 of the nation’s and world’s top junior golfers to King & Bear Golf Course at World Golf Village on Nov. 5-7. Organizers expect the seventh annual tournament to feature the strongest field in the event’s history.
The field includes 51 boys and 42 girls representing 22 states and 11 countries. Forty-nine players have committed to play NCAA Division I golf. Competitors include members of the national teams of the United States, Mexico, Great Britain and Canada, as well as four players from the Jacksonville and St. Augustine area.
Past champions Blades Brown, Miles Russell and Asterisk Talley reflect the caliber of talent the event has attracted. This year’s international field and depth of collegiate commitments promise another compelling look at golf’s emerging stars.
The 54-hole stroke play tournament is open to spectators and the community is encouraged to attend and watch the competition. Each player will compete in honor of a veteran, reflecting The Elite Invitational’s mission to play for a purpose beyond a trophy. The event benefits the Veteran Golfers Association, which enriches the lives of veterans and their families through golf.
