Hart Felt Ministries’ 6th Annual Soiree at Sawgrass raised nearly $210,000 to support programs that help seniors in the community age in place.

The evening kicked off with passed hors d’oeuvres as guests perused the silent auction. Then, attendees settled into their seats awaiting the evening’s program to begin.

Executive Director Kelly Moorman Coggins welcomed guests to the event and introduced renowned author and faith-based motivational speaker Vickie Pappas, who led the crowd in prayer.

The highlight of the event was meeting some of the people whose lives have been enriched by Hart Felt Ministries’ programs. Husband-and-wife clients Mr. Arcadio and Ms. Luzmila attended the event. Ms. Luzmila and her husband receive rides to medical appointments through the group’s Transportation Program and also have a volunteer, Kristen French, who visits with them and helps with household tasks. Ms. Luzmila told attendees that she is so grateful to Hart Felt for all the help she and her husband have received, especially since they don’t have a lot of family here. She said that Hart Felt is now a part of their family.

The event ended with a vibrant live auction that included rounds of golf at The Stadium Club and Dye’s Valley courses, a stay at Asheville Bed & Breakfast 1900 Inn on Montford, and a Peruvian dinner made by Ms. Luzmila.
