Alpha School is coming to St. Johns County in the fall of 2027.
Alpha School takes a more modern approach to learning. Through advanced technologies, students at Alpha School spend two hours in the morning completing their core subjects.
Students at Alpha School spend the afternoons exploring different workshops that allow them to learn real-world skills at school.
Community volunteer Liz Quail said that bringing Alpha School to the community would be a huge step forward in education.
“This would be an enormous leap forward for school options in our area,” she said.
Alpha School promotes a more student-centered approach where the students are in charge of their educational journeys. Alpha uses A.I. technology for personalized learning, mastery-based methods for deep understanding and time management techniques to keep students focused.
Alpha’s real-world workshops teach skills like public speaking, coding, entrepreneurship, outdoor education and more. The workshops are designed to teach students how to navigate a world that is always changing.
Alpha School will host a parent night for students and families interested in learning more about all that Alpha School has to offer. The parent night will be on Oct. 29 from 6 to 7 p.m. at 73 Waterbridge Place. Families interested in attending the parent night should RSVP to Liz Quail at LizWQuail@gmail.com
