Hydaway Hollow is the first location for Hydaway Collective, a collection of beautiful destination properties designed to help the community unplug, enjoy nature and connect. The inspiration for Hydaway Collective began with the founder’s grandfather, who hosted a wholesome, nature-centered summer camp in Virginia called Camp Hydaway.
Hydaway Hollow offers homeschool enrichment programs, horseback riding, field trips, wellness events and more. While the farm has become a favorite for children, it has plenty of events for adults as well, including First Friday Yoga and wellness retreats. The farm can even be rented as an event space for birthday parties, weddings and more.
Horseback riding is one of the many ways guests can connect with nature at Hydaway Hollow. The riding program welcomes riders of varying ages and experience levels and focuses on much more than learning to ride. Participants spend time getting to know the horse while learning horsemanship, care and communication, along with riding skills. The program is designed to help riders build confidence, responsibility and a genuine connection with the horses while enjoying time outdoors at the farm.
Fall is an exciting time at Hydaway Hollow. Flow on the Farm with Jetset Pilates will take place on Oct. 10 from 10 a.m. to noon. The morning will include a 45-minute Pilates class, bloom bar, bandana embroidery, B-12 shots, fresh-pressed juice, gift bags, photo opportunities and a coffee cart. A customizable cowboy hat bar is available for an extra fee.
On Oct. 17, their family-friendly Halloween event, Haunting at the Hollow, will have trick-or-treating, games, activities, horse experiences and more from 5 to 8 p.m.
In preparation for the upcoming holiday season, Hydaway will host a fall market featuring local vendors on Nov. 14 and a holiday market on Dec. 12. At each event, farm guests will get the chance to meet all of the lovable farm horses, goats and ducks.
Hydaway Hollow is the proud new home of TimberNook, a well-loved program that has been inspiring children through outdoor play, exploration and adventure in Northeast Florida since 2017. The program focuses on helping children develop creativity, confidence and socioemotional growth while immersed in the outdoors. TimberNook launched at Hydaway in August and runs through the school year and includes camps during the summer. They partner with special needs schools and field trips as well. Hydaway Hollow also proudly partners with Step up for Students to help more children further their education and growth.
