New Meridian Fitness continues to expand

What’s new at New Meridian Fitness? Plenty.

The gym that John DiPatre opened five years ago has, like those who work out there, continued to improve.

It has added a 400-square-foot outdoor exercise area DiPatre has named Muscle Beach. There are several pieces of equipment out there, and the floor is covered by the gym’s signature orange Astroturf. The expansion has added needed space as the popularity of New Meridian spreads and its membership grows.

That membership base now stands at more than 100.

In addition, New Meridian has added more trainers. Caroline Jenney, Matt Hendrick and Bruce Jackson are still there. To their number, the gym now serves those trained by Mia Hughes and Keon Perry.

In addition, anyone using the gym will find two independent practices onsite that offer services compatible with those seeking corrective, wellness or aesthetic treatments.

Chiropractic physician Dr. Alexis Piarulli, who has been partnered with New Meridian for most of its existence, has expanded her practice within the New Meridian site.

New this year is family nurse practitioner Tara Herndon of NuEra Wellness who offers a host of services: supplements, hormone optimization for men and women, Botox and fillers, IV treatments, weight loss and more.

“Everything to support anti-aging and optimize men and women,” she said.

In fact, Herndon’s practice will be a part of the gym’s next expansion, which will happen soon. Over the next month or so, DiPatre plans to add the space next to his gym, which, once complete, will bring the facility’s total floor space up to 5,000 square feet.

The new space is expected to include an IV room, which will be used by Herndon in her practice. It will also have a sauna and more gym equipment.

DiPatre is also looking at adding supplements to his list of offerings.

Looking back over the past five years, DiPatre marvels at how his business has grown.

“I’ve really been blessed,” he said. “Everything was kind of God’s timing. I found that I didn’t need to stress about stuff, because things fell into place or it just wasn’t going to happen.”
