The Moonlight Market returns Saturday, Nov. 7, from 5 to 9 p.m., filling the open-air space at 73 San Marco Ave., St. Augustine, with local makers, live art, food and drink.
Hosted by neighboring businesses Jenna Fine Art Studio and Sunday, the market reflects the ethos the two share: collaboration, creativity and connection. The Moonlight Market and its spring counterpart, the Secret Garden Market, make up a twice-yearly series created to showcase the region’s vibrant community of independent craft and design.
This season’s featured vendor is Second Rodeo Stitching, a Gainesville-based small business that creates embroidered chain stitch pieces on a hand-guided, vintage-style sewing machine. Attendees can watch the craft up close and get live customization on the spot — bring a bandana, jacket or other garment and have a word of your choice stitched while you wait. Second Rodeo Stitching will also offer patches and framed chain stitch art. Nearly 40 local artists and small businesses will join them, offering handmade goods, vintage finds and specialty products. Guests can also stop into Jenna Fine Art Studio to see Jenna Alexander’s 5th Annual St. Augustine Illustration.
Sunday will be serving its classic grass-fed American cheeseburger alongside Brunswick stew with house-made sourdough, with beer and natural wine available for purchase. Zach Engh will be spinning vinyl throughout the evening as well.
Sunday is a full-service brunch restaurant serving classic fare with a thoughtful twist, from artisan sourdough toast to sandwiches, salads and seasonal entrées. It is open seven days a week, 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. For more information, go to www.sundaygatheringtable.com or call 904-481-8825.
