The MaliVai Washington Youth Foundation (MWYF) celebrated its 30th anniversary with the ribbon cutting of Pat’s Place Pavilion, a new outdoor space honoring the legacy of Pat Geraghty and his impact through Florida Blue.

The ceremony, held at the Emmett Reed Community Center, recognized both the foundation’s three decades of service and the contributions of community leaders who have helped shape MWYF’s mission of empowering Jacksonville youth. Pat’s Place was created as a lasting tribute to Geraghty’s leadership and commitment to supporting youth development initiatives in the community.

The event featured remarks from Pat and Inger Geraghty, MWYF Founder MaliVai Washington, Board Member Frank Morreale and MWYF alumnus Jabeiro Brown, who shared how the foundation has impacted his personal and academic journey.

The celebration brought together students, alumni, supporters and community partners to commemorate the unveiling of the pavilion and reflect on MWYF’s continued investment in providing safe spaces and opportunities for young people to learn, grow and succeed.
