Are you feeling frustrated by technology, such as how to use your laptop or your phone? Ponte Vedra Beach Branch Library’s Tech Volunteer David Ross is here to help. Bring your device and your questions. Ross can help you one-on-one with your tech, including iPhone and Android cell phones or tablets, PC and Mac laptops, and Nook and Kindle readers.
Adult Coloring Club

Friday Flicks: “Young Frankenstein”
3-5 p.m. Oct. 11
Celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Mel Brooks classic, “Young Frankenstein.” A new Dr. Frankenstein returns to Transylvania and takes up where his grandfather left off, getting his assistant to rustle up body parts of the recently deceased in order to create a perfect being. All ages are welcome.
PVB Teens: Pumpkin Painting
5:30 to 6:30 p.m. Oct. 14
Have fun painting pumpkins. This program is for teens in grades 6-12. (Space is limited.)
Friends of the Library Speaker Series with Gary Sass
6:30 to 7:30 p.m. Oct. 15
Gary Sass will explore “A Tale of Two Cities — Pontevedra, Spain, and Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida.” As president of AdLib Luxury Tours & Transportation, Sass is known for his walking tours throughout the area.
PVB Teen Trivia Night
5:30 to 6:30 p.m. Oct. 21
It’s trivia time again! Prizes will be awarded for winning teams. Snacks and drinks will be provided.
Beginners Ukulele for Adults
6-7 p.m. Oct. 28
With its gentle learning curve and charming sound, the ukulele is the ideal instrument for adults of all ages to pick up and play. Plus, its compact size means you can take it anywhere — from beach bonfires to cozy living rooms — spreading joy wherever you go! Unleash your inner musician with this adult ukulele class for beginners (ages 16+). Bring a ukulele if you have one; a limited number of ukuleles will be available to borrow. Gory, Ghastly Ghost Stories in the Park with the Tale Tellers of St. Augustine
5:30 to 6:30 p.m. Oct. 29
Members of the Tale Tellers of St. Augustine will tell spine tingling tales to celebrate Halloween. Be brave and bring your courage! Due to the nature of the scary stories, this program is best suited for those ages 12 and older with an adult present.
This program will take place at Bird Island Amphitheater behind the library. The amphitheater is a short 1/10th mile walk from the parking area on a paved sidewalk. Seats are made of concrete so feel free to bring a cushion or pillow to sit on.
