The Hillary Whitaker Gallery & Consultancy is a boutique and fine art gallery located in Ponte Vedra Beach that features local, regional and international artists. They offer professional consultation and stylized creativity to help clients find beautiful art that matches their aesthetic and budget. They seek to inspire and fill walls with joy and pops of color. They greatly value their relationships with their collectors and truly have art for everyone.
On April 10, the gallery held its spring show from 6 to 8 p.m. Guests enjoyed mingling, light bites, wine and viewing the featured artists’ beautiful artwork. This year, the show featured the works of Wyanne Thompson and Erin Gregory.
Thompson is known for her intricate and colorful florals. She has been a full-time artist for the past 20 years and her work has appeared in collections all over the world. Her story is even more inspiring. In 2013, Thompson was diagnosed with stage IV oral cancer. She lost her tongue and 66 lymph nodes, however that didn’t stop her from pursuing her passion for art. Thompson considers cancer a gift, as it pushed her to express herself more honestly and boldly. She paints nearly every day in her beautiful studio in the hills of Madison, Georgia.
Gregory creates with acrylics and oil paint. Her work features eclectic, abstract shapes with bright, cheerful colors. Gregory lives in Columbus, Georgia, with her husband and two daughters. Gregory’s passion for art began at an early age. She graduated from Auburn University with a BFA in 2000. She has received many awards throughout her career and has been featured in many blogs and magazines. Gregory encourages other artists to paint without worrying about making mistakes. Mistakes in art often evolve into beautiful creations once they’re finished.
The gallery’s spring show was a success and the works of Thompson and Gregory will be on display for a month for gallery guests to see. To learn more about the gallery and their consultancy, go to https://hwhitakergallery.com.
