Blues, Brews, Bourbon & BBQ raises $47K for Florida Theatre

The historic, nonprofit Florida Theatre raised more than $47,000 during its 11th annual Blues, Brews, Bourbon & BBQ event on Sept. 12 at Bowing Oaks.

Publix Charities was the presenting sponsor of the event that benefits Florida Theatre.

This is the second year Blues, Brews, Bourbon & BBQ has been at Bowing Oaks as it was very well received last year.  Bowing Oaks has been a corporate partner of the Florida Theatre since 2019. 

“Despite the rain, Blues, Brews, Bourbon & BBQ was a tremendous success,” said Numa Saisselin, president of the Florida Theatre. “The spirit of fun shone through, proving that nothing can dampen our collective passion for supporting the Florida Theatre. A heartfelt thank you to everyone who braved the weather and made this event unforgettable.”

Attendees of this annual event enjoyed an electrifying evening of live blues music from the Snacks Blues Band, Mark Dennison Blues Duo and Neil Dixon; unlimited local barbecue; the best craft beer; and a curated bourbon selection.
