Women of Whiskey dinner, tasting is March 13

Harvest & Reel, the signature restaurant at the Embassy Suites by Hilton St. Augustine Beach Oceanfront Resort, is hosting its first-ever “Women of Whiskey” event featuring a four-course, chef-prepared dinner, with pairings from three award-winning distilleries and the women behind their success. The perfectly paired four-course lineup includes:

  • First course — Scallop and rock shrimp ceviche served with George Dickel Bourbon in a paper plane cocktail
  • Second course — Butter lettuce and scotch egg salad presented with Johnnie Walker Gold
  • Third course — Datil dusted short rib, agave carrots, and whipped golden potatoes paired with Balcones Brimstone
  • Fourth course — Chocolate souffle served with balcones rye in an old fashioned cocktail

A trio of history-making Women of Whiskey will be on hand to present their industry-leading products and share insights on the distilling process. They include:

  • Nicole Austin, general manager and distiller of Cascade Hollow Distilling Co.
  • Emma Walker, master blender of Johnnie Walker
  • Emma Crandall, main blender and whisky sommelier of Balcones Distilling

This event will be held 6-9 p.m. March 13 at Embassy Suites by Hilton St. Augustine Beach Oceanfront Resort, 300 A1A Beach Blvd., St. Augustine Beach.
