The War and Treaty is latest ‘don’t miss’ Ponte Vedra Concert Hall show

The War and Treaty, the dynamic duo hailed by the LA Times as “one of the most exciting acts” in music today, will bring their unique blend of country and soul to the Ponte Vedra Concert Hall on Thursday, Oct. 16.

The husband and wife team of Michael and Tanya Trotter deliver astounding vocals, at times reminiscent of Ike and Tina Turner and other times solid country. The astounding quality of their vocals, the daring originality or their musical selections and a range that encompasses slower, heartfelt, folksy pieces and high-energy gospel and soul has audiences raving. Simply watching a few of their videos on YouTube can transform the casual viewer into a dedicated fan.

Founded in 2014, the act has received major validation with Grammy nominations for Best New Artist and Best American Roots Song in 2024, as well as nominations from the CMT Music Awards and the People’s Choice Country Awards. They have received the Duo/Group of the Year prize at the Americana Music Honors & Awards for two consecutive years; this year, they have been nominated for a third.

Additional recognition has poured in from Folk Alliance International, People’s Choice Country Awards, the Country Music Hall of Fame, the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame and the Grand Ole Opry.

Their 2018 debut album “Healing Tide” won them instant acclaim. They followed that in 2020 with “Hearts Town” — which featured a collaboration with Emmylou Harris — and 2023’s “Lover’s Game.” Their collaboration with Zach Bryan on the song “Hey Driver” hit the top 20 on the Billboard Hot 100 list.

The show at the Ponte Vedra Concert Hall begins at 7:30 p.m. (doors open at 6:30 p.m.) and tickets are available now through the venue’s ticketing partner, AXS, but also at the box office. Tickets are priced at $55.06 to $77.74.

The performance will also feature guest artists Thunderstorm Artis.
