The link announces spring break camps

Posted

The link, a prominent hub for family enrichment situated in Ponte Vedra, is gearing up for an exciting array of spring break camps designed to captivate young minds and keep bodies active. This year, the link will present four unique and enriching experiences: Let’s Get Creative, Creative Culinary, LEGO Robotics and STEAM Camp, and Olympic-style Fencing.

Jeff Tawney, director of operations for the link, expressed enthusiasm about the 2024 spring break camps, stating, “We're thrilled about our lineup. Our team of talented camp instructors are eager to inspire and work with your kids.”

Dedicated to making every academic break an opportunity for growth and fun, the link's camps are curated to provide campers with diverse experiences that foster creativity, enhance fine motor skills and promote physical activity.

The Let’s Get Creative camp encourages young artists to unleash their potential through various media, from birdhouses to marbling, creating a perfect space for budding creativity.

For those with a taste for culinary adventures, the Creative Culinary camp is an ideal fit. Campers will delve into the world of cooking, learning kitchen essentials and discovering the joy of creating delicious and nutritious meals.

The LEGO Robotics and STEAM Camp aims to stimulate young minds by combining the excitement of LEGO robotics with other STEM activities like drones, Carerra slot cars and Sphero. This camp offers an excellent opportunity for children to develop problem-solving skills and enhance fine motor skills.

Thrill-seekers will find their match in the Olympic-style Fencing camp, where they can learn the art and technique of fencing from experienced coach Alan Chernomashenstev. It's not just a physical workout; it’s also a mental exercise that challenges participants to think on their feet.

Committed to enriching the lives of local Ponte Vedra families, the link has forged strategic partnerships with the Parent Teacher Organizations of Pine Island Academy and Palm Valley Academy. These partnerships contribute to the community by offering classes and camps that align with the schools' educational objectives.

Ten percent of the membership fees from Pine Island Academy and Palm Valley Academy families are donated to the schools’ PTOs, reinforcing the link between education and community support.

“We are grateful to be working with some of the best PTOs that turn schools into communities where everyone's ideas help make learning awesome,” said Gurpreet Misra, co-founder of the link.

The link is extending similar partnerships to local small businesses through the Community Partnership Program, fostering a sense of community and mutual benefit. It was launched this spring.
