Posted

"Put Art in Your Yard" is a social media movement designed to inspire artists to exhibit creative works in their yards. #putartinyouryard. The idea for this summertime exhibition is to invite artists to display their creative works in our yard and courtyard areas at the Cultural Center!

The exhibition will be juried for place winners. All entries will be exhibited. This exhibition is open to the public and open to all ages. Submission fee: $20 for residents and $15 for members.

Registration is open and will end on May 31. Artists will be required to bring their artwork to the Cultural Center during regular open hours, June 1-5 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and to check in with a staff person. The exhibition will run through Aug. 1.

Artists may hang artwork from trees and bushes, use sidewalk chalk on paved areas, and hang work from the fence and inside the courtyard. Artwork may not stay in grassy areas.

Artwork must be appropriate for all ages. Art must be weather resistant. Please label artwork with your name, phone number and email address. The public is invited to view the outdoor artwork during daytime hours while adhering to social distancing standards. Signs may be attached to artwork like in the examples.

The Cultural Center is in no way responsible for lost, stolen, or damaged artworks.
