The Jacksonville Symphony has announced the addition of two new members to its Board of Directors: Amy Ruth and Victoria Rogers. Both Ruth and Rogers have extensive backgrounds in leadership and will bring fresh perspectives to the Symphony Board. Their appointments bring the board to 34 members before the 77th season takes off in September.
“The continued growth of our board reflects strong belief in the symphony’s mission,” said Steven B. Libman, president and CEO of the Jacksonville Symphony. “Our newest members are eager to contribute their expertise and help guide the organization into the 2026-27 season.”
Victoria Rogers
Victoria Rogers most recently served as vice president of arts for the John S. and James L. Knight Foundation, overseeing its expansive arts investment portfolio across eight U.S. cities, championing artist-driven work and deepening the role of arts as a driver of community vibrancy and creative innovation.
She retired from this position at the end of 2024 after nearly 10 years of impact. Previously, she was the executive vice president of New World Symphony, where she helped set the strategic plan and oversaw all revenue generation, earned and philanthropic as well as marketing and communications for the orchestral academy that prepares distinguished music graduates for leadership roles in orchestras and ensembles around the world.
At New World, Rogers orchestrated the successful $200 million capital campaign for the Frank Gehry-designed campus, one of the world’s most technologically advanced venues for concerts. Before joining New World Symphony, Rogers served as assistant vice president for central development at the University of Miami, where she was the architect of its billion-dollar capital campaign, Momentum.
Amy Ruth
Amy Ruth is senior vice president, Human Services Group and chief human resource officer at GuideWell and Florida Blue, where she leads enterprise people strategy, talent management, total rewards, culture and employee experience.
She serves on the Enterprise Leadership Team and chairs the Board of Directors for GuideWell Source. Previously, Ruth was president of Incepture and has held leadership roles with TriServ Alliance, InterContinental Hotels Group, Willis Towers Watson and SunTrust Banks.
Active in Northeast Florida, she has served as board chair for Pine Castle and supports numerous civic and health organizations. Ruth holds a BBA from Kennesaw State University.
