At Jacksonville Country Day School (JCDS), third graders took part in a flag ceremony and fourth and sixth graders are embracing the school’s “Live to Give” philosophy by creating handmade cards for veterans.
Under the guidance of Teresa Gore, JCDS’s fourth-grade assistant and enhancement teacher, students in the Enhancement class crafted heartfelt messages for veterans, expressing gratitude for their service. These cards will be delivered to the VA Hospital in Tampa as part of the Florida School Counselors Convention's annual service learning project.
