The UF/IFAS St. Johns County Extension Office will host the St. Johns County Master Gardener Fall Plant Sale from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday and Sunday, Sept. 19-20, at the St. Johns County Agricultural Center, 3125 Agricultural Center Drive in St. Augustine.
Proceeds directly support educational outreach and community programming through the St. Johns County Master Gardener Volunteer Program.
The annual plant sale will offer a variety of landscape plants, houseplants and vegetable seedlings for gardeners of all experience levels. Visitors can also tour the Demonstration Gardens on the property and learn more about gardening practices suited to Northeast Florida.
The event promotes using native and Florida-friendly plants in the local environment, supporting sustainable landscaping practices and, in effect, the St. Johns County Strategic Plan priority to enhance conservation.
The Fall Plant Sale will also feature a series of free educational classes and workshops:
Saturday, Sept. 19
Sunday, Sept. 20
The St. Johns County Master Gardener Volunteer Program is part of UF/IFAS Extension and provides research-based horticultural education and resources to residents.
The plant sale will take place rain or shine both days.
