The St. Johns County Chamber of Commerce is closely monitoring Tropical Storm Ian.

Businesses may get useful information by going to www.scchamber.com and clicking on “Hurricane Ian Updates.” Also, follow the Chamber’s Facebook page, and the County’s Emergency Operations Center Information Line is 904-824-5550. Chamber staff is working remotely and monitoring phone calls and emails.

Below is a Facebook post sent yesterday by the St. Johns County Chamber of Commerce regarding the importance of businesses registering at www.Floridadisaster.biz now:

Business owners, if you have not registered under Floridadisaster.biz (the Official State of FL Emergency Center for Businesses and Industries) you need to do so and, preferably before the storm.

This allows you to complete your Business Assessment Survey where you will be able to share what type of damages your business has experienced whether it is a physical loss, an inventory, or revenue loss.

Assessing your damages and completing the survey is your first step toward recovery. The second step is to do everything you can to help your employees so that they can have their homes and family safe before heading back to work.

Investing your time in helping them is your second priority. Of course, you have your own family to take care of as well. Completing the Business Assessment Survey is key for our business community to receive state funds for business recovery including Bridge Loan.
