Spring Harvest Dinner event to benefit food pantry

Heart and Soulfood Eatery in downtown Palatka will host the Spring Harvest Dinner on May 4 as part of the inaugural Palatka Food, Wine & Art Festival.

A benefit for Bread of Life Food Pantry in Palatka, the event will feature food by Chef Garrett Schiavone of Reel Peel Pizza, Chef Paul Brock of The Feed Mill, Chef Jimmy Hughes of Velchoff's Corner and Chef Tyrone Bennett of Heart and Soulfood Eatery. 

The farm-to-table menu will feature dishes sourced locally, including meat and produce from The Feed Mill in St. Augustine. Guests will enjoy a culinary journey that goes from winter to the spring harvest season with appetizers, entrees, craft cocktails and wines inspired by Mediterranean influences. 

An art and vendor showcase from 4 to 5:30 p.m. will include charcuterie, beer, wine and live entertainment. The dinner will take place from 6:30 to 9 p.m. at Heart and Soulfood Eatery, 308 St. Johns Ave., Palatka.
