Rosalia’s Italian Restaurant and Pizzeria is celebrating its seven-year anniversary on April 22.
Rosalia Cattaneo was born in Rome, Italy, and her family has been in the restaurant business for over 40 years.
Cattaneo’s husband Dante was born in Long Island, New York, and his family’s background is also in the restaurant business.
When the couple met 10 years ago, it seemed like fate had an instrumental hand in bringing them together.
“Both of us love what we do, so it was an easy decision to open a restaurant together,” said Dante.
Rosalia’s Italian Restaurant features authentic Italian food including lasagna, cannelloni, manicotti and stuffed shells. They also offer seafood and steak. They also feature specialty pizzas that include Margherita, Palermo and Aloha.
Rosalia’s Italian Restaurant is located at 14965 Old St. Augustine Road, Jacksonville.
Four years ago, the couple decided to open Dante’s Place, a nightclub that features live music, open-mic nights, karaoke, darts and pool, right next door to Rosalia’s restaurant.
Happy hour is every day from 5 to 8 p.m. and there is a huge variety of spirits to choose from. Dante’s Place serves food from Rosalia’s and there is plenty of outdoor seating available.
Dante’s Place will be celebrating its four-year anniversary on April 22.
