Robert Myers

Robert Myers, a resident both of Ponte Vedra, Florida and Harvey Cedars, New Jersey, passed away on Sunday, January 25, 2026. Bob was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania the only child of the late Richard Myers and Ethel Catherine (Hill) Myers. Growing up in both Philadelphia and South Jersey, Bob graduated from Palmyra High School in 1953 and received his Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Delaware in 1958. After living in Newark, Delaware while working for the DuPont Corporation, Bob relocated to Cinnaminson, New Jersey in 1960 to manage the family business, the Garden State Motel. In 1972, Bob joined the staff of HCH Real Estate in Harvey Cedars, New Jersey where he was, in succession, an agent, the office manager, and finally owner. In the mid-1980s, Bob served as an appointed member of the Long Beach Township Planning Board. While working at HCH, Bob met and married the love of his life, Nila, and they were married in July 1978; she survives him after a wonderful 47 years of marriage. Blending their families upon marriage, Bob is also survived by Jeffrey (Cheri) Laurence, Karen Myers, Lynn Alfano (John), Diane Farmer (Keith), Richard Laurence (Mari), Robin Myers, Gary Laurence (Allison), and Lisa Hill (Joe) as well as grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
