Art with Kasha — Acrylic Mountain Scene

Dr. Gerson Yessin Music Series presents the Sean McCarthy Trio

Sean McCarthy, Nashville recording artist, songwriter, acoustic guitarist and lead vocalist fronts Southern coastal group Sean McCarthy Band. The band’s music is a rich blend of country, bluegrass, folk, trop rock and Americana (or Trop-i-cana as Sean calls it.) Rounding out the band is pedal steel player Olin “Hotshot” Carter and bass player Ernie Ealum.
W.A.V.E Women’s Self Defense Course

Women and girls age 13 and older are invited to a self-defense class taught by W.A.V.E., Women Against Violent Encounters. This class is focused on teaching participants basic self-defense techniques to respond to potential threats. You will receive one-on-one training and practice with an all-woman team of instructors. SJC Parks and Recreation presents “Reptiles of Florida”

Join SJC Parks and Recreation and their live ambassador animals for an engaging and informative talk about the reptiles of Florida, where you’ll learn about the diverse and unique species that call the Sunshine State home. From the iconic alligator to the colorful Florida coral snake, participants will explore the habitats, behaviors and ecological roles of these incredible creatures. Ages 7-plus. FOL Speaker Series Presents Leah Lynch, “Sulzbacher – Inside the Box and More”

Leah Lynch will present “Sulzbacher – Inside the Box and More.” In her role as president of the Hope Division for the Sulzbacher Center for the Homeless, Lynch oversees all educational and workforce development programs, two commercial kitchens and social enterprises for the center. She has worked in the First Coast nonprofit community for nearly 30 years as chief mission officer at Goodwill Industries and is the founder of “Let’s Play Sports Camp” in partnership with Nike and the NFL.
