Ponte Vedra Concert Hall announces concert film series

Ponte Vedra Concert Hall has announced the inaugural Stage to Screen series, a free community program presented by Friends of Ponte Vedra Concert Hall that brings iconic concert films to the big screen every Friday throughout August. The four-week series invites the community to experience legendary performances in a venue built for live music.

Recently recognized by the 2026 MONDO-DR Awards as the only venue in the Americas recognized in the Concert Hall category, Ponte Vedra Concert Hall stands alongside three internationally acclaimed venues celebrated for excellence in audio, acoustics, lighting and venue technology. From Talking Heads and The Band to The Rolling Stones and Hans Zimmer, each film will be presented through the same world-class audio system that powers unforgettable live concerts throughout the year.

The inaugural series features four celebrated concert films spanning classic rock, legendary live performances and cinematic scores, giving audiences the opportunity to experience some of music's most iconic moments in a setting purpose-built for exceptional sound.

Admission is free. RSVP is required for each screening through pvconcerthall.com. Seating is available on a first-come, first-served basis.

Friday, Aug. 7 — “Stop Making Sense” (Talking Heads)   

Widely regarded as one of the greatest concert films ever made, Jonathan Demme's groundbreaking film captures the Talking Heads at the height of their creative powers.  

Time: 7:30 p.m. (6 p.m. doors)  

Friday, Aug. 14 — “The Last Waltz” (The Band)   

Martin Scorsese’s legendary film chronicles The Band’s historic farewell concert, featuring unforgettable performances alongside Bob Dylan, Eric Clapton, Neil Young, Joni Mitchell, Van Morrison, Muddy Waters and more.  

Time: 7:30 p.m. (6 p.m. doors)  

Friday, Aug. 21 — “Shine a Light” (The Rolling Stones)   

Directed by Martin Scorsese, this acclaimed concert film captures The Rolling Stones live during their A Bigger Bang tour, with appearances by Buddy Guy, Jack White and Christina Aguilera.  

Time: 7:30 p.m. (6 p.m. doors)  

Friday, Aug. 28 — “Hans Zimmer & Friends: Diamond in the Desert”  

An immersive concert film celebrating the legendary composer, featuring music from Dune, Gladiator, Interstellar, The Lion King and more. 

Time: 7:30 p.m. (6 p.m. doors)  

Presented by Friends of Ponte Vedra Concert Hall, Stage to Screen celebrates the Concert Hall's first year since reopening while inviting the community to experience legendary concert films the way they were meant to be heard — at the Concert Hall.
