PAStA Fine Art Gallery welcomes Depy Adams

The Professional Artists of St. Augustine (PAStA) Fine Art Gallery, 214 Charlotte St., St. Augustine, has announced that Depy Adams, an artist of national acclaim, has joined the longest-running artist cooperative and gallery. She brings with her abundant experience in oil, watercolor, gouache, pastel and egg tempera in realistic still life, landscape and figurative art.

Adams hails from North Carolina where she received a Bachelor of Fine Arts and a Master of Education degree from University of North Carolina — Greensboro. She continued her studies with various masters while maintaining a 30-year career in art education in North Carolina.

She has traveled extensively and lived in a wide variety of environments, from the canals of Amsterdam to the red mesas of Albuquerque, New Mexico. She has signature status from the New Mexico Watercolor Society and also has signature status as a member of the Pastel Society of New Mexico. She holds many awards in competitions, and has had solo and group shows in North Carolina, Arizona, Utah, Mexico, New Mexico and Florida.

She is currently a juried artist member of the Island Art Association in Fernandina Beach and is also a juried artist member of the Plantation Artists Guild and Gallery on the Omni resort on Amelia Island. She presently calls Fernandina Beach her home.

PAStA was founded in 1982 by Jean Wagner Troemel, a champion of the arts and founder of the Winter Haven Ridge Art Association who served on the Florida Arts Group Board and spearheaded St. Augustine’s First Friday Art Walks.

The gallery has served an international clientele a wealth of local talent and award-winning artists. The gallery’s mission is to showcase local and regional art and to educate and encourage area artists.

In 2023, PAStA won The Best of Florida Regional Art Gallery and was a finalist in the Best of St. Augustine Choice Awards.
