Palm Valley Boat Parade returns Saturday

The 2025 Palm Valley Boat Parade will take place on Saturday, Dec. 6, from 6 to 8 p.m. along the Intracoastal Waterway.

This holiday event features brightly decorated boats that travel more than seven miles along the Intracoastal Waterway and has been a tradition for more than 20 years. The event is completely run by volunteers and co-hosted by the Palm Valley Community Association (PVCA). Last year, the parade drew in about 300 spectators.

Admission is free and bleacher seating is available on a first-come first-served basis. There will also be food trucks, holiday music and games for the kids. Onsite parking will mainly be reserved for ADA and handicap needs. There will be shuttle buses running continuously from Landrum Middle School from 5 until 7:45 p.m.

The parade will start one mile south of the Palm Valley Bridge and head north to the last home in Marsh Landing. The Palm Valley Bridge is located on State Road 210 near Roscoe Boulevard in Ponte Vedra Beach.

This year will mark Beacham Still’s eighth year as director of the parade and he said this event is all about bringing people together.

“Ultimately, the longevity and success of the Boat Parade is thanks to our incredible participants, patrons, volunteers and county staff,” said Still.

Also back this year are the commemorative Palm Valley Boat Parade T-shirts, which can now be purchased online.

“The online shop feature provides greater convenience and availability for all those interested in purchasing,” said Still.

This event is a longstanding tradition in the community and one that is looked forward to every year.

“In many ways, it reflects our community’s enduring connection to the water — the canal itself was dug around 1908, when this area was known as the Diego Plains. The resulting waterway supported development and ultimately gave rise to the Palm Valley we enjoy today,” said Still.
