THE PLAYERS Championship will take place March 10-15 at TPC Sawgrass. Operation New Uniform (ONU) will be the featured nonprofit organization on Tuesday, March 10.
ONU was founded in 2014 with the goal of helping service members and veterans find a fulfilling career in the business world.
ONU offers in-person classes for service members and veterans to help them gain the mindset, skills and connections needed for meaningful success after the military. These classes are offered at their headquarters in Jacksonville and at their satellite location in Tampa. Each day of class includes real-world exercises, discussions and team-building activities. Students will also receive personalized feedback and guidance from instructors and mentors. The class will conclude a formal graduation event attended by local employers, community partners and ONU alumni. The next set of in-person classes in Jacksonville will be April 13-22.
ONU also provides online, self-paced training accessible anywhere around the world to help with a flexible schedule.
ONU has grown into a nationally recognized program that has transformed the lives of more than 700 veterans and military spouses across the United States.
ONU strives to meet each student where they are physically, emotionally and mentally during their transition journey. For veterans, that means helping them uncover their unique value and potential and helping them gain a sense of individual purpose and worth.
For military spouses, it means providing the tools and confidence they need to define their own identity and pursue personal and professional goals.
