Emery Halvorsen has been honored as the first recipient of the Sheriff’s Office Student of the Month award for October at Landrum Middle School. The award was presented by Youth Resource Deputy Bryan Wright and Principal Kasting in recognition of Emery’s leadership, positive attitude and commitment to helping others.
Originally from Philadelphia, Emery has lived in New Jersey, Maryland and Arizona before relocating to Ponte Vedra this past July. As the daughter of an Air Force pilot, Emery has experienced multiple moves but quickly makes new friends wherever she goes. Her enthusiasm, determination and love for her community stand out in every environment.
Emery is passionate about animals, with a special love for horses and horseback riding, and has been playing lacrosse since she was 5. Currently, she plays for Jaws and is actively involved in both FCA and robotics at school.
