Voter registration deadline is Monday
The deadline for Florida residents to register to vote in the upcoming 2026 general election is Monday, Oct. 5.
Online voter registration is available at www.registertovoteflorida.gov. Voter registration is also available at local public libraries, Tax Collector offices and the Supervisor of Elections Office during regular business hours.
The Nov. 3 general election is open to all registered voters in St. Johns County. It is recommended that all voters go to www.votesjc.gov and use “My Voter Status” to check their registration status. The site can also be used to update voter records, view sample ballots or request a vote-by-mail ballot. Voters who need to update their address are encouraged to do so before Election Day so that they will know their correct polling location.

Vicker’s Landing Boutique Sale is Oct. 6
The Vicker’s Boutique Sale will be held 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Oct. 6 at the Vicker’s Sawgrass Community Building, 1000 Vicker’s Landing Way. Featured this month will be decoration items for Halloween and Thanksgiving, along with framed art, antiques, household items, knick-knacks and jewelry. Cash or checks only. Proceeds benefit the employee scholarship fund.
The public is welcome and parking is expedited by on-site security staff.
Speaker announced for Essential Tremor meeting
The Essential Tremor Support Group will meet at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 6, at Baptist HealthPlace at Nocatee, 400 Colonnade Drive, Unit 130; Ponte Vedra (Nocatee). Attendees will hear from Melissa Ruff, LCSW. She is an experienced psychotherapist working with individuals dealing with depression, anxiety, stress, bipolar disorder and an array of other issues. Stress, common for many individuals, even those without “ET,” exacerbates the condition. Ruff will offer methods of mitigating these symptoms. All are welcome.
