Savvy Job Hunters planning free virtual workshop

The Savvy Job Hunters Ministry of Christ Episcopal Church will host a free virtual workshop, “Overriding Résumé Robots — Applicants Tracking Software Systems,” from 10:30 a.m. to noon Friday, Feb. 20.

Learn how to optimize your résumé for success in your job search and make it past the résumé robots. The workshop topic will be presented by Audra Larsen, University of North Florida senior career counselor, career services.

Dog adoption event set for Saturday

K9s For Warriors is hosting its second annual Canines & Local Finds event from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 7, at Francis Field, 25 W Castillo Drive, St. Augustine. 

During the family-friendly community event, attendees can expect to find: 

  • More than 60 free adoptable dogs from K9s For Warriors and seven local shelters  
  • A vendor village with more than 30 local businesses and artisans 
  • Live demonstrations from first responders and rescue vehicles

Farmers market open every Friday

The Ponte Vedra Friday Farmers Market takes place from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. every Friday at Palm Valley Outdoors, 377 S. Roscoe Blvd., Ponte Vedra Beach, offering fresh produce, local farm goods and a welcoming space to connect with neighbors and small businesses.
