Fall Orchid & Plant Sale set for Sept. 12, 13

The Jacksonville Orchid Society is planning its sixth annual Fall Orchid & Plant Sale. There will be orchids, daylilies, orchid supplies, driftwood, related items and educational talks to help you care for your orchids. Free parking.

The event will be held from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 12, and 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 13.

The Jacksonville Orchid Society is a 501(c)3 not-for-profit organization.

Daily’s Withdraws Comprehensive Plan Amendment

First Coast Energy, the Jacksonville-based owner and operator of Daily’s convenience stores, has withdrawn its application for a Small-Scale Comprehensive Plan Amendment, CPA(SS) 2025-13. The application pertained to an approximately 7.7-acre property located at 600 State Road 13 North in the Fruit Cove area of St. Johns County. The application had been scheduled for a public hearing before the Board of County Commissioners on Aug. 4 as part of its regular meeting. As a result of the withdrawal, the item was not considered at that meeting.
