Flagler Broadcasting has launched its seventh local radio station, The Light 101.3 FM.
“We wanted to give St. Augustine a full-service contemporary Christian radio station with local DJs, news, weather, traffic and support for local churches and other nonprofits,” said David Ayres, Flagler Broadcasting’s president and CEO.
The Light’s on-air talent features DJs JT Thomas and Sandy.
Contemporary Christian music is one of the fastest-growing formats in the country, attracting listeners of all ages.
“You won’t hear us preaching or asking listeners for money,” said Thomas, program director and on-air talent for The Light 101.3 FM. “We just want to be a positive local radio station where our Christian messages are in our music.”
Featured artists will include: TobyMac, Phil Wickham, MercyMe, For King & Country, Tasha Layton, Casting Crowns, Megan Woods, Big Daddy Weave, Consumed by Fire, Matt Maher, Anne Wilson, Chris Tomlin, Crowder and more.
Now, through Dec. 26, The Light 101.3 FM is playing Christmas music all day, every day. Listen locally on 101.3 FM or stream worldwide on the Flagler Radio App with Christmas music 24 hours a day. The regular format kicks in on Dec. 26 at midnight.
The Light 101.3 FM joins Beach 105.5 and St. Augustine Country 106.3 at the Flagler Broadcasting family. Kool Oldies 100.9, News Radio WNZF, Kix Country 98.7 and Beach 92.7FM are broadcast from Flagler County.
