MOSH plans Spring Break Discovery Camps

Posted

The Museum of Science & History (MOSH) will host a Spring Break Discovery Camp that will engage students in an exciting week of fun experiments and wild crafts. The five-day camp will run March 17-21, and include STEAM activities, daily planetarium or science shows and museum exploration.

This year’s themes are:

  • MOSH’s School of Magic (grades K-2): Step into the magical world of science with MOSH, where the ordinary transforms into the extraordinary with spellbinding games and hands-on activities.
  • Brainiacs (grades 3-5): Put your brain to the test as you dive into a world of tricky conundrums and mind-bending challenges to better understand how the mind works through the latest traveling exhibition, MindWorks. Perfect for young thinkers ready to stretch their mental muscles!

Camps take place from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., Monday through Friday. Students can be dropped off as early as 8:45 a.m. for morning care and picked up no later than 3:30 p.m. at no additional charge. Extended care is also available, allowing registered campers to be dropped off as early as 8 a.m. and picked up as late as 5 p.m.; this option can be added at the time of registration for an additional $17 per day.

Camp registration is $280 per camper. MOSH members will receive a 10% discount at checkout. Registration is now open; go to themosh.org/educate/discoverycamps for more information and to register your child.

Discovery Camp does not include food; campers will bring their own lunches and snacks.

MOSH is located at 1025 Museum Circle, Jacksonville.
