On Saturday, Oct. 11, Incubate Debate hosted the 2025 Fall Championship at Jacksonville University. Middle and high school students from 17 counties across Florida, as well as from South Carolina and Virginia, gathered to debate pressing topics, such as modern-day feminism, prohibition and whether the United States should recognize Palestine.
This year's championship saw a record number of applications, with only 24% of students accepted to compete — making it the most competitive and ambitious tournament Incubate Debate has held to date. Each application was carefully reviewed, and the quality of writing and ideas was truly exceptional.
Pegah Rezaeirad reported that her daughter, Parmis Molavi, a student at Allen D. Nease High School, earned runner-up honors (Second Place) at this event.
“She proudly represented St. Johns County and demonstrated exceptional communication, leadership and critical thinking skills throughout the competition,” according to Rezaeirad.
