Prioritizing creativity is a central focus of First Coast Cultural Center’s (FCCC) Kick StART afterschool art enrichment program, and registration is now open for the following schools: PVPV/Rawlings Elementary, Ocean Palms Elementary, Lakeside Academy and Freedom Crossing Academy.
This weekly, 90-minute program gives students an opportunity to develop their personal creative perspectives while building hands-on skills and confidence in the areas of painting, sculpting and art history.
“In this increasingly technically driven world, creativity has risen to a place of great importance,” explained Silvia Romero, FCCC’s senior director of operations. “Research shows that creativity fuels higher-level thinking, improves problem-solving skills, encourages emotional development and more.”
Discounts are available for FCCC members, and the registration deadline is Jan. 15. Register using this link: https://firstcoastculturalcenter.org/programs-events/kick-start.
If your child’s school is not listed and you are interested in the program, email Romero at sromero@firstcoastculturalcenter.org.
