Joni Zwick was a longtime Ponte Vedra Beach Realtor before embarking on a new life chapter: owner of Cereset Ponte Vedra – a non-invasive, medication-free solution to insomnia, stress and anxiety.

What made you decide to transition to starting a new business and purchasing a Cereset franchise? Real estate was my passion for over two decades. I never dreamed of doing anything else. But in 2017 I was diagnosed with MS. I was almost relieved when I got the diagnosis because I just couldn’t figure out this consistent insomnia and fatigue: “Am I just getting lazy?”

Then with the diagnosis, I realized I hadn’t been lazy. I originally just went on the disease-modifying drugs but became obsessed with finding ways to help myself. I wanted to “live my life, not my disease!”

I’ve had two stem cell transplants, do regular hyperbaric oxygen treatments and changed my diet and lifestyle. While attending a retreat in Colorado, I discovered Cereset and did five sessions. Not only did the insomnia resolve itself quickly, but my emotional regulation kicked in and calmed my mind.

Later, when a family member with OCD and ADD also experienced remarkable improvements through Cereset, it confirmed for me that this technology was too powerful to ignore. The closest Cereset center was two hours away, so I felt called to bring it here to Northeast Florida so others in our community wouldn’t have to struggle as long as I did.

What do you enjoy most about what you do? What excites me the most is being able to offer people hope when they feel like they’ve tried everything else. So many individuals (and that includes kids and teenagers) come in exhausted, stressed, worn down by sleepless nights and they just want to feel like themselves again.

Unlike traditional treatments that rely on medications or invasive techniques, Cereset taps into the brain’s own ability to heal and restore itself, and that’s incredibly empowering. It’s rewarding to know that every day, I’m helping people reclaim a part of their lives they thought was lost.

What are the benefits of Cereset treatments? Cereset works by giving the brain a chance to “hear itself” and naturally return to a healthier rhythm. EEG sensors pick up brainwave patterns and reflect them back as gentle sound tones, which helps the brain relax and reorganize on its own. Because the process is completely drug-free and doesn’t involve electrical stimulation or therapy sessions, it appeals to people looking for a safe and natural approach.

Clients often notice deeper, more restful sleep, greater clarity in their thinking and an overall sense of calm after just a few visits. It’s truly about supporting the body’s own design rather than imposing something from the outside.

What sort of positive changes have you witnessed in your clients?

I’ve seen transformations that are nothing short of inspiring.

One gentleman in particular came in very doubtful, convinced that nothing short of medication would ever help him sleep. After just two sessions, his sleep improved dramatically, and with that came a noticeable shift in his mood and outlook. It was like watching a weight lift off his shoulders — he smiled more, carried himself differently and even said his wife noticed a big change at home.

Moments like that remind me why I chose this path: because when the brain finds balance, people rediscover themselves.

What do you enjoy doing in your free time? The truth be known, I love being at home. I love gardening, cooking and just hanging out with friends and family.

For more than a decade, I’ve been active in the Rotary Club of Ponte Vedra Beach, where service and fellowship go hand in hand. Our club is truly a “Service above Self” organization and I feel extremely blessed to call these people my friends.

I also mentored members of the Beaches Rotaract Club, which is Rotary for young adults. I love and admire those emerging leaders, as they discover the impact they have both locally and globally. Those activities keep me grounded and remind me why balance — both in life and in the brain — are so important!
