Jason K.S. Porter opened his law firm in Jacksonville in May 2004 and has been providing expert legal services for over 25 years.
He graduated cum laude from Hampden-Sydney College in Virginia with a Bachelor of Arts degree in both political science and Spanish. Before graduation, he was inducted into Phi Beta Kappa honor society for academic achievement and the Omicron Delta Kappa honor society for leadership. He earned his law degree from Wake Forest University School of Law in Winston-Salem, North Carolina.
Porter moved to Jacksonville in 1998 and became assistant state attorney, prosecuting cases in Duval, Clay and Nassau counties. As a prosecuting trial lawyer, he handled a wide range of cases, from misdemeanor DUI cases to murder cases.
After spending some time as a prosecutor, Porter decided to open a private practice. His firm handles personal injury, criminal defense and family law cases. They also handle professional discipline cases. For example, if a doctor’s professional license is challenged, Porter’s firm can provide representation in those proceedings.
Porter’s firm, which is made up of five lawyers, has approximately 100 years of collective experience. There are also three former prosecutors on staff. The firm’s main office is in San Marco, and there are also offices in Fleming Island and St. Augustine.
Throughout his career, Porter has been an advocate for fair representation, and he has made it his life’s work to help people when they need it most. He is a resident of Ponte Vedra, and he enjoys taking his boat out on the water.
