The Jacksonville Symphony has announced its annual Community Concerts, presented by Haskell. A Symphony tradition, these concerts welcome all of Jacksonville to Jacoby Symphony Hall for a preview of the season’s musical offerings. Performances will take place at 7:30 p.m. Friday, Sept. 15, and Saturday, Sept. 16, in Jacoby Symphony Hall.
Both Community Concert performances are free and open to all and will feature a lively mix of both classical and pops favorites. Music Director Courtney Lewis and the musicians of the Jacksonville Symphony will deliver an exhilarating performance with something for every musical taste showcasing the full versatility of the orchestra.
“Symphonic music has the power to bring people from all walks of life together in ways that few other art forms can,” said Lewis. “I simply cannot wait to welcome the community to Jacoby Symphony Hall for these special concerts. It is my hope that listeners will leave feeling overjoyed and inspired, ready to embark on a journey of symphonic excellence throughout the ‘23-‘24 season.”
