Jacksonville Orthopaedic Institute (JOI) has announced a new multi-year agreement to continue as the official orthopedic partner of the Jacksonville Jumbo Shrimp, the city’s Triple-A National Championship and the International League Championship-winning baseball team. The partnership aligns two organizations with a shared commitment to excellence, performance and keeping Jacksonville moving both on and off the field.
JOI continues to experience strong growth across the region, recently welcoming three new orthopedic surgeons, bringing its total to 16 surgeons on staff. With convenient locations in Amelia Island, San Marco and Jacksonville Beach, JOI remains focused on expanding access to high-quality orthopedic care for patients throughout Northeast Florida.
“This partnership reflects more than just sports medicine,” said John Ricchini, CEO of Jacksonville Orthopaedic Institute. “It represents a shared winning mindset. As the Jumbo Shrimp prepare to defend their first Triple-A title since 1968, we’re proud to stand alongside an organization that values preparation, performance and community as much as we do. Supporting athletes at every level is core to who we are.”
As the official orthopedic partner, JOI will provide expert orthopedic and sports medicine support to the Jumbo Shrimp organization, reinforcing its long-standing role in caring for Jacksonville’s athletes and active community.
“We are so pleased JOI and the Jumbo Shrimp can continue the long-standing partnership of providing orthopedic services for our players,” said Matthew Goudreau, general manager of the Jacksonville Jumbo Shrimp. “It is such a big part of keeping our team healthy and on the field, we look forward to working together for years to come.”
