The Jacksonville Humane Society (JHS) has announced the return of Mutt March, Northeast Florida’s largest pet-friendly walk in support of homeless animals. Mutt March will take place on April 5 at the University of North Florida’s Hodges Stadium.
Mutt March is a family and pet-friendly event in support of the dogs and cats at JHS. Attendees can choose to participate in a quarter mile or full mile walk around the UNF Athletic Complex, then shop a market of local vendors, bid in a silent auction and enjoy music and activities for the whole family. Mutt March has not taken place since 2019, and JHS looks forward to reenergizing the event with the community’s support.
Mutt March is Northeast Florida’s largest pet walk and festival with a fundraising goal of $100,000. All proceeds from this event benefit the more than 8,500 animals who come to the Jacksonville Humane Society every year.
“We are looking forward to celebrating the return of Mutt March with our friends in the Jacksonville community,” said Lawrence Nicolas, JHS CEO. “Mutt March is a day of fun for people and pets alike, all in support of our mission to save the lives of dogs and cats in Jacksonville. We can’t wait to see you there!”
Registration is open now at jaxhumane.org/muttmarch. The community is also encouraged to create a Mutt March walk team to raise funds and support the animals at JHS. The first 400 registrants receive a free Wag Bag full of swag from JHS partners.
