The St. Johns County Sheriff’s Office is working an incident that occurred Wednesday, Dec. 8, involving the discharge of a firearm in the area of Palm Lane in Ponte Vedra. An active investigation under way.
According to law enforcement, the suspect is known to the victim.
Due to the close proximity of Ocean Palms Elementary and out of an abundance of caution, the school was placed on a lockdown.
The Sheriff’s Office believes this to be an isolated incident.
