Brown suggests starting the organization process small. Focusing on one drawer at a time is a lot easier than tackling an entire room at once. It’s important to declutter before buying organizing products, Brown said. She suggests creating simple organization systems that are easy to maintain.
“Organize in a way that works for you, not someone else,” Brown said.
Starting to organize can feel overwhelming at times.
“Set a time for 15-20 minutes and stop when it goes off. Progress creates motivation, not the other way around,” Brown explained. Organizing a little at a time can be a stress-saver.
