Hillary Whitaker Gallery will present its Spring Show from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, March 28. This exhibition will showcase the works of acclaimed artists Erin Gregory, Laura Lacambra Shubert and Gretchen Warsen.
The Spring Show will highlight a diverse collection fine art original paintings of various mediums and sizes that explore timeless themes and styles up through the end of April.
Gregory is known for her captivating florals, taking a traditional theme and making it contemporary and fresh. Petals filled with color and layered with interest — her works are highly coveted.
Lacambra Shubert paints with broad strokes, weaving together light and shadow in a way that imbues each of her paintings with a palpable energy. Though loose, each bravura-style brushstroke carries an elegance that enhances seemingly regular subjects with a sense of grace.
The gallery will also debut the work of new artist, Gretchen Warsen. Warsen’s work is layered in application and use of color. Her abstractions are sophisticated yet playful.
Art With a Heart in Healthcare will be present at the event. This local cause and 501(c)3 nonprofit organization located in Jacksonville, providing personalized fine art experiences that promote healing in patients and their families. Attendees can also support Art with a Heart in Healthcare by participating in a fine art raffle. All raffle proceeds will be donated to the organization.
