Lullaby of the Rivers will offer a free Pop-up Festival on Nov. 22 at the Limelight Theatre in St. Augustine. Entertainers in musical traditions of folk, Americana, jazz and blues provide memorable performances against a backdrop of art and culture in a festival setting.
The outdoor stage spotlights an all-star lineup, including Acoustic Anomaly, Bad Dog Mama, Bear & Robert, Buffalo Rose, Dave Besley & Sue Wescott, Duffy Bishop Band, John Dickie IV and Katherine Archer.
NE Florida Sierra Club, Bee Augustine and other exhibitors join Lullaby of the Rivers in presenting information about the environment, especially Florida’s rivers, and explore how nature inspires the arts.
Activities and workshops invite the whole family to participate. Bamboo river sticks are a festival favorite, cut to size and ready to personalize while learning how to use them. Vendors offer an array of their own nature-inspired wares and provide favorite festival foods and beverages.
The Pop-Up Festival is open from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. in the Limelight Theatre parking lot. Admission to the festival is free. The Limelight Theatre is located at 11 Old Mission Ave. Free parking is available nearby.
Following the festival is the premier of Ancient City Limits, a ticketed event in the Limelight's Black Box. Bob Patterson has arranged for three virtuoso guitarists to perform on the same stage. Sam Pacetti, Michael Jordan and Jonathan Lee Dotson will take turns performing, with interviews by St. Augustine Tonight host Jorge Rivera. Tickets for Ancient City Limits cost $25 and are available through the Limelight box office. Seating is limited. Go to https://limelight.ludus.com/200504355.
