Frederick W. Fair

Frederick W. Fair passed away on October 5, 2022. He was born in Brockton, MA, on March 14, 1947, and grew up in the Hanover/Norwell area of Massachusetts.

Fred served in the U.S. Navy for 4 years. One of the ports he visited while at sea was Mayport Naval Station. After discharge, Fred decided to return to Florida and took up residence in Jacksonville, FL in the Beaches area. He studied to become a Master Plumber and received his certification and opened Fair Plumbing. His business continues to offer its services to this day.

Fred enjoyed the camaraderie of his many friends throughout his life and considered fishing one of his favorite pastimes. He was a member of the American Legion.

Fred is survived by his loving wife Sallie; daughter Jacqueline Brooks (John); granddaughter Danielle Brooks; brothers Steven and David and sister Lynette. He was predeceased by his sisters Michelle and Francine.

A Gathering of family and friends will be held at Quinn-Shalz Family Funeral Home, 3600 Third Street South, Jacksonville, FL 32250, on Friday, October 15th, from 6 to 8 p.m.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, October 16th, at 11 a.m., in St. Paul’s Catholic Church, 523 Pablo Ave., Jacksonville Beach, FL 32250. Reverend William Kelly will be the Celebrant.
