Florida Water Tours is launching a spooky, stargazing cruise along St. Augustine’s bayfront.
The Moonlit Mysteries Night Cruise takes passengers across the Matanzas Bay to the bayfront, combining narrated stargazing, ancient navigation and intriguing, spooky tales of the historic city after dark.
Founded by Jessica Jadick in 2016, Florida Water Tours is a family-owned and operated ecotourism company based in St. Augustine. Her captains and crew are passionate environmental advocates who specialize in fun and educational boat tours for vacationers and locals alike, highlighting the beauty — and ghostly spirit — of St. Augustine’s Intracoastal Waterways and maritime ecosystem.
“We love sharing our passion for nature and wildlife with every guest that comes aboard,” said Jadick. “Whether it’s narrating the stars above our beautiful coastal waterways or sharing the spooky lore of our hometown, it’s a dream to offer these immersive and fun experiences.”
Starting Thursday, Feb. 27, The Moonlit Mysteries: Stargazing and Haunted History Boat Tour takes passengers on the water as the sun begins to set. Departure times vary with the season, ranging from 6:30 p.m. in the winter and 9:30 p.m. in the summer. The crew narrates special celestial events, like shooting stars, full moons and planetary alignments.
This 90-minute tour is available Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays and is geared towards adults and teens age 13 and older. Tickets are $39 per person and include a complimentary beverage from the bar onboard.
Florida Water Tours is located at Windward at Camachee Cove Yacht Harbor at 107 Yacht Club Drive, St. Augustine (just north of downtown).
