Flagler College students earn first place in national competition

The following Flagler College students were part of the team that earned first place at the district level of the American Advertising Federation's National Student Advertising Competition.

In the college’s first appearance in the competition, students developed and presented a fully integrated campaign for the National Football League, also receiving the Best Brand Activation Award and advancing to the semifinal round.

The team consisted of: Taylor Johnson of Ponte Vedra Beach; and Saylor Minock, Olivia Flaherty, Veronika Karpov, Dylan Richardson and Anthony Ritchie of St. Augustine.

The team conducted research, built campaign strategy and created advertising concepts before presenting its work to a panel of industry professionals, including an National Football League representative.

The Flagler team competed against universities including Florida State University, Lynn University and Nova Southeastern University, ultimately earning first place and advancing to the semifinal round.

“This achievement is a testament to the talent, dedication and collaborative spirit of our students,” said Diana Lodi, Flagler College graphic design program coordinator and NSAC co-advisor. “We now move on to the next stage of the competition and are excited to build on this momentum.”
