Festival of Trees returns to St. Johns County

St. Francis House and Port in the Storm Homeless Youth Center will kick off this holiday season with the inaugural “Light the Way Home Festival of Trees” hosted by the Lightner Museum, 75 King St., St Augustine.

A festive wonderland of themed trees and wreaths decorated by local churches, individuals, groups and businesses will be on display in the museum’s entrance foyer.

The event will feature visits from Santa, a Letters to Santa mailbox and holiday music.

Each tree and wreath will be available for purchase by way of a silent auction, with a “buy it now” option. Proceeds will support services for individuals, families and youth experiencing homelessness in St. Johns County.

A limited number of exclusive tree ornaments commemorating the 2021 Nights of Lights and Light the Way Home Festival of Trees will also be available for purchase.

The Festival of Trees will be open to the public 1-5 p.m. Nov. 29, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Nov. 30 and Dec. 1, and 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Dec. 2.

Admission to the event is free to the public, though it does not include admission to the museum.

Event sponsorships are still available. Call event coordinator Joyce Duffy at 410-688-0883 or email her at joyce.duffy@stfrancisshelter.org.
