Early voting for the Jan. 28 Special Primary Election will be available in St. Johns County between 9 a.m. and 6 p.m. daily, Jan. 18-25. The eight-day early voting period includes two Saturdays and one Sunday at the following locations:

  • Supervisor of Elections Office, 4455 Avenue A, Suite 101, St. Augustine
  • Southeast Branch Library, 6670 U.S. 1 South, St. Augustine

The 2025 Special Primary Election is open to registered Republican and Democratic voters residing in Congressional District 6. Congressional District 6 encompasses all of precincts 212, 213, 304, 309, 310, and 311, and parts of precincts 303, 305, 306, 307 and 308, in southern St. Johns County.

If you are unsure which precinct you live in, or whether you are eligible to vote in this election, there is an Address Search Tool available on the homepage as well as the Election Dates page at www.votesjc.gov under “Elections”.

Florida is a closed primary state, which means a voter must be registered in the political party for which the primary is being held. Democratic voters will receive a Democratic ballot, Republican voters will receive a Republican ballot, and voters registered with No Party Affiliation (NPA), or a minor party will not receive a ballot or be eligible to vote in this election.

The deadline to request a vote-by-mail ballot to be mailed for this election is 5 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 16. Vote-by-mail ballots must be received by the Supervisor of Elections Office by 7 p.m. on Election Day, Jan. 28, to be counted.

Secure ballot intake stations are available inside both early voting locations between 9 a.m. and 6 p.m. daily for voters to drop off completed vote-by-mail ballots. Vote-by-mail ballots can also be dropped off at the Elections Office Monday through Friday, during business hours.
