This Mother’s Day, Donovan’s Irish Pub & Restaurant is inviting guests to celebrate with a meaningful twist on its newly launched Traditional Irish Breakfast Brunch—honoring the mothers behind the family-run restaurant with a special, one-day-only offering.
On Sunday, May 10, all mothers dining at Donovan’s will receive a complimentary dessert (one per table) — a sweet tribute to the restaurant’s matriarch, whose homemade pies and desserts have become a signature part of the Donovan’s experience.
At the heart of the story is a true family legacy. Donovan’s is owned and operated by mother-and-son team Kristin and Jareb Dougherty, with Kristin’s mother—Jareb’s grandmother—playing a vital role behind the scenes in the kitchen, preparing desserts and specials that bring a homemade, generational touch to the menu.
“This is really about celebrating the women who built Donovan’s,” said Jareb Dougherty, owner of Donovan’s Irish Pub & Restaurant. “My mom and grandmother are such a big part of what we do every day—from the way we welcome guests to the food we serve. The desserts, especially, come from my grandmother, and they’ve become something our guests truly love. Mother’s Day felt like the perfect time to share that story.”
The Mother’s Day celebration builds on Donovan’s recently introduced Traditional Irish Breakfast Brunch, now offered every Sunday and quickly gaining attention as one of the only authentic Irish brunch experiences in St. Augustine.
