Direct Orthopedic Therapy (DOT) is preparing to open its newest office in Ponte Vedra Beach this July. Dr. Jonson Yousefzadeh shared his excitement for what the practice’s growth will mean for residents of Ponte Vedra and Jacksonville's Beaches who value their health, performance and longevity.
Yousefzadeh grew up locally, completing his graduate studies and competing in D1 basketball at the University of North Florida. His passion for athletics, health and performance — combined with family roots in the restaurant industry (Poppy's Italiano) that emphasized service to others — led him to a career in physical therapy.
He explained that health care in America today is more akin to “sick care.” Once patients are no longer in pain, they’re usually left without the support they need to get stronger, perform better and live longer.
DOT is unique for its one-on-one approach to rehab, performance and longevity, blending personalized programming with a science-backed method. Its providers guide patient transformations and celebrate client success under the tagline “Better Than Yesterday.”
Yousefzadeh's core belief is simple: your body is a vehicle for living a great life.
